The International Speaker Series is free and open to the campus community. Faculty members are encouraged to bring their students to the presentations and the Office of International Programs is happy to make arrangements for extra credit attendance sign-in.

International Speaker Series: Dr. Bernard Weinstein, Global Energy Expert

Bernard L. Weinstein is Associate Director of the Maguire Energy Institute and an Adjunct Professor of Business Economics in the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. From 1989 to 2009 he was Director of the Center for Economic Development and Research at the University of North Texas, where he is now an Emeritus Professor of Applied Economics.

International Speaker Series: H.E. Aung Lynn, Ambassador of Myanmar to the United States

Aung Lynn was appointed on July 18, 2016, as the ambassador to the United States from  Myanmar. It’s the first time in more than 50 years that a career member of the Foreign Ministry has held the post.
